2inphilly hat ein paar schöne Statements amerikanischer Konservativer zusammengetragen, die nicht besonders glücklich über die vielen bösen Filme sind, die bei den Globes ausgezeichnet wurden („Iiiiih, Schwule!“). Besonders die Kritik von Dennis M. Becklin, Herausgeber der Applegate Oregon News, ist in ihrer intellektuellen Größe herausragend:

„Eighty members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are the judges for the Globe awards. Following is a list of the current members of the HFPA…Not an American among them.“

Ein freundlicher Leser meint dazu richtigerweise:

„About all those Golden Globers not being Americans….well, duh…. It’s the “Hollywood FOREIGN Press Assocation.” Of course, they’re foreigners. You can’t accuse them of hiding who they are.“
